internet piracy is the downloading or distribution of unauthorized copies of property such as movies, television, music, games and software programs via the Internet. Illegal downloads occur in many forms including file sharing networks, websites and hacked computers.

Lots of people say when the satellite Sputnik was launched into orbit, it prompted Americans to build the Internet. Sputnik was developed by the U.S.S.R. in 1957. It is the first hand built radio transmitter satellite. It caused the American government to invest more money into science. which later created, The National Defense Education Act. (aka financial aid)
